<p><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; color: #000000; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; color: #1f497d; font-family: arial; font-size: 13px;">One of our Intrusion detection appliances had a failure this morning that caused degraded service between 9:30am and 12:10pm.&nbsp; At this time we were experiencing a high level of user activity from a Brazilian <a class="offsite-link-inline" href="http://www.diariodecuyo.com.ar/suplmenu/index.php" target="_blank">blog post</a> which in turn caused a server in Sydney to shutdown.&nbsp; Normally a restart keeps this to just a couple of minutes however at exactly that time the power in our Brisbane development office (the whole block actually) went out.&nbsp; A remote re boot was not possible.&nbsp; A phone call and a mobile email to our data centre and we were back online.&nbsp; <br /></span></span></p>

<p>This patch ads an auto flush mechanism for the main asset database.&nbsp; This will help us to manage who has already download which assets and make sure there is no confusion within the database as we add or update products.</p>
<p><strong>In detail</strong> <br />If MVH didn't clear the asset database your index may report to us that you have an asset (3D Object) when in fact there is a new version of it.&nbsp; By clearing the cache it causes MVH to requery the DB server and ask for the version number again.&nbsp; This is a very quick query and does not download the asset again it just confirms that it has the right asset.</p>
<p>This is the first step of a larger asset management system set to be released with Version 2.3</p>

<p>Along with the bug fixes we will also be adding:</p>

<li>Much faster downloads of HomeShare houses. &nbsp;About 400% faster actually. :)</li>
<li>Network rendering. &nbsp;(All things going well this will be added) &nbsp;Network rendering will be a commercial only release feature where offices with many PC's will be able to utilise all available resources to render (Lightmap) a house faster than ever before.</li>
